My name is Baron Miles. I work for Budmouth Academy as the Careers Leader and more broadly for all the local secondary schools as part of the Weymouth and Portland Careers Cluster.
We are keen to create our own database of employers that could help our students develop key skills that are required by businesses in the area, help students to understand the range of employment opportunities that exist in our town and support the local economy and community.
We believe that it is through contact with employers and employees that young people find the inspiration and knowledge they need to find a career path that they enjoy and that these interactions can change lives for the better. We are hopeful that this will help reduce the skills and education gaps that have widened due to Covid and the restrictions that have affected us all.
We are looking for these interactions to come through talks, visits to the workplace environment and through work experience placements. If you could help with any one of these could you fill in the linked form or email me on bmiles@budmouth-aspirations.org
