Weymouth Rotary are proud to announce ‘We Are Weymouth’ as one of the key supporters of Fayre In The
Square 2022, which takes place on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May.
The regular family event in Weymouth’s summer calendar was successfully delivered online in 2020 and, sadly
with Covid uncertainty, cancelled in 2021.
Weymouth Rotary President, Jerry Way, said “our ambition is to make FITS 2022 a triumphant return to form,
entertaining locals and visitors alike with a mix of music, food and stalls, raising many thousands of pounds for
local charities and bringing visitors from around the country to our fine town”.
“Putting this charity event together requires hard work from Rotary members, along with sizeable costs – and
to ensure that every penny raised goes to good causes, we are delighted that We Are Weymouth have come on
board as a sponsor”.
Dawn Rondeau, We are Weymouth Chief Operations Officer said “we are excited to have the opportunity to
support Fayre in the Square and the Folk Festival this year as they return to the town post-covid. The South
harbourside is a vibrant business community within Weymouth and to encourage footfall to this part of the
town during these festivities is great news for all those situated there. We are delighted to support these two
established events as they showcase the South harbourside; they have a loyal, national following and so it made
sense to support our business community in this manner”.
“This year’s events span the Queen’s Jubilee and We are Weymouth are hoping that the celebratory feel of the
Queen’s Jubilee will prevail with large numbers arriving here during May half term to experience the town
celebrating”.
