Skills Boot Camps at Weymouth College
Weymouth College is really pleased to be a delivery partner in the Skills Bootcamps, which will be running from September 2022.
What are Skills Bootcamps?
Skills Bootcamps are flexible training courses at Level 3, lasting up to 16 weeks and offering individuals the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills. The training courses have been developed to support adults who are in work, self-employed, unemployed or returning to work after a break and on completion can lead to employment opportunities and job interviews.
Skills Bootcamps – developed as part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life – are fully funded and free to adult learners over the age of 19 who self-refer and are looking to upskill and change careers or available for employers to use to upskill existing staff at a heavily reduced training rate.
Developed in partnership with employers
The Skills Bootcamps at Weymouth College aim to deliver flexible training opportunities at Level 3 and have been developed in partnership with local employers to respond to their specific skills shortages.
Local employers can utilise the Skills Bootcamp training to upskill and develop their existing workforce and will be required to contribute to the cost of training. Depending on the size of your company this will vary between £100 and £360 per person and is set by the Government. These courses can also be used to help you fill any vacancies you might have within your business. We will be able to provide you with access to learners who are looking to change careers and have completed the courses for you to consider for job roles within your company.
